Caring for Our Collective - 2026 VLA VLACRL Annual Conference

Jeff Prater is the Collection Development and OER Librarian at the Annandale Campus Library of Northern Virginia Community College. Previously, Jeff worked in academic libraries specializing in instruction, outreach, collection development, and technology as a library director and librarian. He represents NOVA on VIVA's The Open and Affordable Course Content Committee (OACCC), revived the Curriculum Development Acquisition Program at NOVA adding about 100 OER textbooks, and is active in the All-Access Textbook Model debate. In March 2023, Jeff completed a Southbound hike of the Appalachian Trail.
